Snoozing, or slumbering , is not just a waste of valuable time. But is also very unhealthy!Snoozing is a danger to body and mind, and we function. But what makes snoozing so dangerous?
Is snoozing bad?
Many people do not claim to be able to wake up without being snoozed, so that they can not wake up without having to snooze a couple of times. In fact, with any pressure on that snooze button, you only get tired and wake up! And apart from that, why would you annoy yourself more than once a morning?
In an earlier article about snoozes , you have already read why snoozing, from my perspective , is so bad of your time. And that you can increase your sleep efficiency , or sleep effectiveness , super “easy” by stopping snoozing. You only win so much time. This article looks at the other side of the medal … and in this case, both sides are not exactly splash-pure gold.

Snoozing is a danger to body and mind
Okay, what’s happening exactly in your body when you sleep? Originally, man, logically, is not used to waking up by an alarm clock, but this was a natural process. Thus, many are made on the basis of light, sleep and waakhormons by our body to ensure we get tired of sleep and fall asleep, and in the morning when we are charged again (How this works exactly you read in a previous article about sleep watch rhythm ).Nowadays, this is no longer the standard way of waking up, and many of us are awakened by an alarm clock, which in itself is not good for our health and energy levels.
Snooze, a malicious idea
For many people, including myself, this is a necessity because we live in a society where many people are expected to come into action early in the morning before we wake up naturally! No problem, but what is a problem is that there was once a malicious person an even more evil idea, and made this devilish plan “successful”. Ene Hans Snooz ( okay that’s nonsense ) has the snooz function, slumbering , thought! The L ..
Influence of snoozing at sleep watching rhythm
Everyone has him, and unfortunately most of them use him too. But what happens is that you’re going to mess with the natural process of waking up. The first time your alarm clock breaks you unnecessarily interrupt your sleep cycle , and the more often you do that, the more you blow it all out. Each time you wake up unnaturally, and press the snooze button again, give your body the signal to sleep again, and to resume sleep hormones, you wake up again and wake up your body again. Doing this every ten minutes a couple of times is therefore really worthless for the functioning of the sleep guard rhythm of your body! You are becoming increasingly disoriented and you function worse!
Rattle with the process of waking up
Snooze and REM sleep
Whatever is bad, but you’re hard to get worse when you use an alarm, it’s interrupting REM sleep , the deep sleep like it ( read all about the sleep cycle here ). Stopping snoozes improves this, of course, indirectly, or no, just immediately, if you turn your alarm clock later, and so wake up for the first time. In this way, the duration of your contraindicated sleep loss is at least longer.
Of course wake up without snooze
The very best-most-fantastic scenario is, of course, that you acquire such a good sleep rhythm , which is definitely possible for you to wake up every morning and no longer need an alarm clock. This means that you wake up yourself when your body is ready. You can realize this by adopting a very constant rhythm in which you turn your alarm on every day at the same time, and do not snooze! Keep it as long as your body is used to it. . It is also important to listen well to your body and to sleep when you are tired. Preferably also at fairly constant times. You can make your evening tired and sleepy every evening by adopting a regular evening ritual .
