Tooth grinding (Bruxism) is a disorder that often tightens teeth and chooses firmly together and is pushed back and forth. Bruxism is not innocent, but can cause serious damage to the teeth. What exactly are what are the causes and what can you do about it?
What is tooth grinding?
With tooth grinding, Bruxism, the teeth and teeth are clamped together and pushed back and forth to create a creaking sound. The crunching takes place especially at night, but during the day people can suffer from this.
Initially, teeth cracks do not seem to be a big problem. It can happen to everybody, and often this happens – especially in children – often again. One problem, however, is when teeth teeth continue to last longer and complaints develop.
How do you recognize bruxism?
How do you really know if you are getting toothbrush? Because it is mainly at night, it can be difficult to discover this. Often, you’re not sure about the teeth, but you can recognize the consequences of it. Do you suffer from painful jaws in the morning, biting your cheeks or headaches? Great chance of kidding your sleep!
More often than not, the partner or dentist finds someone toothbrush. Your partner may suffer from the crushing noise you make and have trouble sleeping. The dentist can see it at the wear sites on your teeth and choose.
Causes of tooth grinding
How tooth grinding is created is not unambiguous. There is no reason to point out. However, because the chewing and jaw muscles are very active at night and so there is unknowingly a lot of brain activity, many people agree that tooth decay is a sleep disorder and is caused by certain brain and nervous processes.
Factors that seem to affect here are:

– Excessive use of alcohol
– Drug use
Consequences of tooth grinding
If teeth cracking does not stop quickly, this can be harmful to your teeth. There may be complaints on the teeth and choices, but also on the shoulders and the neck.

– Breaking of fillings and glaze

Stress is often an offender for tooth decay. If you reduce tension and stress, teeth teeth will probably also decrease. Regular sports can help to relax.
Think about your jaws
Also try to relax your jaws. Put a warm washcloth on your jaws before you go to bed or at the moments when you push your jaws firmly together. You can also massage your jaws with your fingers.
