Nightmares are dreams that cause an unpleasant, emotional feeling where you wake up from. Unlike night fear you are immediately fully awake and can still remember many of the dream. Strictly speaking, a nightmare not a sleep disorder, they are only a disorder if they are so common and is disturbed by such intension to sleep. Eventually, they can suffer that someone is afraid to go to sleep, including insomnia is a consequence.

Nightmares symptoms

Nightmares is you usually wake up and often have to do with fear, something scary, a sense of pain, falling, drowning or dying. They are usually later in the night and take place during REM sleep or light sleep. Unlike night anxiety nightmares spend very little physical symptoms along with it. Only your heart rate and breathing can be a little elevated.
